Seoul 1945 is a South Korean historical television drama series that aired on KBS from January 7 to September 10, 2006. Spanning 71 episodes, the series explores the lives of young individuals navigating the turbulent period of Japanese colonial rule through the onset of the Korean War. The production aimed to depict this era of contemporary Korean history while addressing the social and personal impact of the period.

Production and Controversy
The series was directed by Yoon Chang-Beom and Yoo Hyun-Ki, with a screenplay written by Lee Han-Ho and Jung Sung-Hee. During its broadcast, the show became the subject of legal scrutiny. In July 2006, Rhee In-soo, the adopted son of South Korea's first president Syngman Rhee, and Jang Byung-hye, the daughter of former prime minister Jang Taek-sang, filed a lawsuit against the producers. The plaintiffs alleged that the drama distorted historical events and disparaged the legacies of their late fathers.
