Secret Zoo (2020 Film)
Secret Zoo (Korean: 해치지않아; RR: Haechijianha) is a 2020 South Korean comedy-drama film directed by Son Jae-Gon. The film is based on the webcomic series Haechijiana by Hun, which was serialized on the Daum Webtoon platform from September 20, 2011, to April 27, 2012. Production for the film commenced on October 8, 2018.
Plot
The story follows Kang Tae-Soo (played by Ahn Jae-Hong), an attorney who accepts a temporary position as the director of a struggling zoo on the verge of bankruptcy. Upon arrival, he discovers that the zoo has sold all of its animals to cover debts, leaving the enclosures empty. To prevent the zoo from closing, Tae-Soo initiates an unconventional project where the remaining staff members are required to wear realistic animal suits and impersonate the animals. The zoo eventually gains unexpected popularity after videos of the "animals" go viral on social media.
