Secret Temptation (2015 Film)

Secret Temptation (Korean: 은밀한 유혹; RR: Eunmilhan Yoohok) is a 2015 South Korean crime thriller film directed by Yoon Jae-Koo. The film is based on the 1956 French novel La Femme de paille by Catherine Arley, which also served as the source material for the 1964 American film Woman of Straw.

Plot

The story follows Ji-Yeon (Lim Soo-Jung), a woman working in a Macao bar to settle debts left behind by a former business partner. She is approached by Sung-Yeol (Yoo Yeon-Seok), who proposes a life-changing scheme. The plan involves Ji-Yeon boarding the private yacht of a wealthy man, Kim Seok-Koo (Lee Kyoung-Young). Once aboard, she becomes entangled in a high-stakes game of deception involving the three central characters.

Production

The film was produced by No Jae-Hoon and written by director Yoon Jae-Koo. Principal photography commenced on February 21, 2014, and concluded in early June 2014. The production utilized locations in Macao to serve as the setting for the casino and the yacht scenes.

Lim Soo-Jung as Ji-Yeon — Lim Soo-Jung portrays the lead character, Ji-Yeon.

Yoo Yeon-Seok as Sung-Yeol — Yoo Yeon-Seok portrays Sung-Yeol.
