Secret Door (South Korean Television Series)

Secret Door (Korean: 비밀의 문; RR: Bimilui Moon) is a South Korean historical television drama that aired on SBS from September 22 to December 9, 2014. The series consists of 24 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot.

The narrative centers on the historical conflict between King Yeongjo and his son, Crown Prince Sado. The drama dramatizes the ideological clash between the King, who sought to consolidate absolute royal authority, and the Crown Prince, who advocated for equality and reform.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Hyeong-Sik with a screenplay written by Yoon Sun-Joo. The initial script reading for the production was held on July 26, 2014, at the SBS Ilsan Production Studios in Goyang, South Korea. The series replaced the drama Temptation in its time slot and was subsequently followed by the series Punch on December 15, 2014.
