Search (Korean: 써치) is a South Korean television series that aired on the OCN network in 2020. The drama is a military thriller centered on the experiences of a search party operating within the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) as they encounter a mysterious, unknown creature.

Plot

The narrative follows a specialized military search troop, including Sergeant Koo Dong-Jin (Jang Dong-Yoon) and elite officer Son Ye-Rim (Krystal). As the team struggles to survive and navigate the dangers of the DMZ, they face a mysterious threat. Throughout their mission, the members develop camaraderie while uncovering secrets, including revelations regarding Son Ye-Rim's origins.

Production

The series was directed by Lim Dae-Woong, with a screenplay written by Goo Mo and Go Myung-Joo. The first script reading for the production took place in South Korea in April 2020. The drama consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast on OCN's Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot. It premiered on October 17, 2020, and concluded on November 15, 2020, succeeding the series Missing: The Other Side and preceding The Uncanny Counter.
