Save the Green Planet! (2003 Film)
Save the Green Planet! (Korean: 지구를 지켜라!) is a 2003 South Korean dark comedy thriller directed and written by Jang Joon-hwan. The film blends elements of science fiction, horror, and social satire, following a young man who believes he is protecting the Earth from an extraterrestrial invasion.

Plot
Lee Byung-gu (played by Shin Ha-kyun) is a troubled young man convinced that the world's social problems are caused by a secret alien conspiracy. He believes that if he does not meet the prince from Andromeda before a total lunar eclipse, the planet will be destroyed. To prevent this, he kidnaps Kang Man-shik (Baek Yoon-sik), a prominent corporate executive whom he suspects is an alien leader. The film depicts the tense, often violent confrontation between the two as Byung-gu attempts to extract information from his prisoner.
Cast
The film features a central performance by Shin Ha-kyun as the protagonist, Lee Byung-gu, and Baek Yoon-sik as the captive CEO, Kang Man-shik. Supporting cast members include Hwang Jung-min as Su-ni, Lee Jae-yong as Inspector Choo, and Lee Joo-hyun as Inspector Kim.


Production and Release
The film was directed by Jang Joon-hwan, with cinematography by Hong Gyung-pyo. It was released in South Korea on April 4, 2003, with a runtime of 118 minutes. The production was led by producers Cha Seung-jae, Kim Seon-a, and No Jong-yun.
