Save Me (2017 South Korean TV Series)

Save Me (Korean: 구해줘; RR: Guhaejwoe) is a South Korean television series that aired on the OCN network in 2017. The thriller drama follows the story of a young woman trapped within a religious cult and the group of unemployed men who attempt to rescue her.

Background and Production

The series is based on the webcomic Sesang Bakeuro by Jo Geum-San, which was published between June 2011 and January 2013. The television adaptation was directed by Kim Sung-Su, with screenwriting by Jung Shin-Gyu and Jung Yi-Do. The first script reading for the production occurred in April 2017 at the Studio Dragon Corporation in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Save Me premiered on August 5, 2017, and concluded on September 24, 2017, consisting of 16 episodes. It occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:20 time slot on OCN, following the conclusion of the series Duel and preceding Black.
