Santa Barbara is a 2014 South Korean romantic drama film directed and written by Cho Sung-kyu. The film follows the evolving relationship between a music director and an advertising executive, with scenes set in both South Korea and Santa Barbara, California.

Plot
Jung-woo, a music director, faces financial hardship after his guitar is seized by creditors due to a betrayal by a close friend. While working on a commercial project, he meets an advertising executive named Soo-kyung. Their initial interactions are marked by personality clashes. However, after bonding over shared interests in wine, cinema, and the city of Santa Barbara, they begin a romantic relationship. The couple's connection is tested when Jung-woo fails to meet a professional deadline, leading to a period of estrangement. They eventually reunite while working on a new project that requires them to travel to Santa Barbara.
Production
Principal photography for the film commenced on April 20, 2013, in South Korea. The production team subsequently relocated to Santa Barbara, California, in May 2013 to film location-specific scenes.
