Ryosuke Yamada

Ryosuke Yamada (Japanese: 山田涼介, born May 9, 1993) is a prominent Japanese singer and actor. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he is widely recognized for his long-standing membership in the Japanese pop boy band Hey! Say! JUMP, which he joined in 2007.

Career and Major Roles

Yamada has balanced a successful music career with an extensive acting portfolio in both television dramas and feature films. In 2016, his performance in the live-action adaptation Assassination Classroom earned him the Newcomer of the Year award at the 39th Japan Academy Prize.

His notable film credits include portraying Edward Elric in the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film series (2017, 2022), as well as appearances in Grasshopper (2015), The Miracles of the Namiya General Store (2017), Baragaki: Unbroken Samurai (2021), Bad Lands (2023), and Silent Love (2024).

In television, Yamada has starred in numerous drama series and television movies, including Detective School Q (2007), The Files of Young Kindaichi Neo (2014), Cain and Abel (2016), Semiotoko (2019), The Killer Inside (2022), Billion X School (2024), and I'm a D-list Handler (2025).
