Ryosangata Riko: Plastic Model Girl's Life Assembly Record

Ryosangata Riko: Puramo Joshi no Jinsei Kumitate Ki (Japanese: 量産型リコ -プラモ女子の人生組み立て記-) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Tokyo in 2022. The series explores themes of self-discovery and personal development through the hobby of building plastic models.

Plot

The story follows Riko Komukai, played by Yuki Yoda, a young woman working at an event planning company. Riko perceives herself as an average individual in both personality and appearance. Her perspective shifts after a colleague describes her as a "mass production model"—a term implying a lack of unique characteristics. Intrigued and challenged by this label, Riko encounters a Zaku plastic model from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise at a local shop. This encounter leads her to begin building plastic models, a hobby that serves as a catalyst for her personal growth and self-reflection.

Production and Broadcast

The series was directed by Hidenobu Abera, with a screenplay written by Shota Hatanaka, Manbou Yashiro, Gorgeous Murakami, and Okocha. It consisted of 10 episodes and was broadcast on TV Tokyo's Thursday 24:30 time slot from June 30 to September 1, 2022. It followed the series Hanayome Miman Escape and was succeeded by Chaser Game.
