Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung

Ryoo Hyoun-Kyoung (Hangul: 류현경; born March 10, 1983) is a South Korean actress and director. Active in the South Korean entertainment industry for decades, she has appeared in a wide array of feature films, television drama series, and short films, while also stepping behind the camera to direct projects.

Acting Career

Ryoo began her career appearing in various film and television productions starting in the late 1990s. Over the years, she has built a substantial filmography encompassing supporting and leading roles across diverse genres. Some of her prominent cinematic works include The Servant (2010), Cyrano Agency (2010), Petty Romance (2010), The Whistleblower (2014), and Life is Beautiful (2022).

In addition to her film projects, Ryoo has maintained an active presence in South Korean television dramas and series. Her television credits include appearances in The Lover (2015), 20th Century Boy and Girl (2017), Trolley (2022-2023), Big Bet (2022), and The Frog (2024).

Directing Work

Alongside her acting career, Ryoo has worked as a director on short film projects. Her directorial efforts include the short films Kwang Tae's Basic Story (2009) and Heart Robber (2010), the latter of which she also acted in.
