Run-Off (Korean: 국가대표 2; RR: Gukgadaepyo 2) is a 2016 South Korean sports drama film directed by Kim Jong-Hyeon. The film serves as a thematic successor to the 2009 film Take Off. It depicts the challenging formation of South Korea's first women's national ice hockey team, focusing on the diverse backgrounds of its members.

Plot

The narrative follows a group of women from disparate walks of life who unite to form the inaugural South Korean women's national ice hockey team. The roster includes a North Korean defector, a former short-track speed skater, a middle-aged woman, and a middle-school student. Together, they navigate personal struggles and the rigors of professional sports to compete on the international stage.

Production

The film was directed by Kim Jong-Hyeon, with a screenplay written by Jung Chul, Yoo Young-A, and Kim Jong-Hyeon. Principal photography commenced on October 8, 2015, and concluded on January 14, 2016. The film was distributed by Megabox Plus M and released in South Korea on August 10, 2016.
