Rooftop Prince

Rooftop Prince (Korean: 옥탑방 왕세자; RR: Oktab Bang Wangseja) is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from March 21 to May 24, 2012. The series was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 21:55. It is a fantasy romance drama that blends historical elements with a modern-day setting.

Production

The production of Rooftop Prince began in early 2012. The first script reading was held at the SBS Ilsan Production Center on February 1, 2012, following camera tests for the main actors in traditional costumes. Principal photography commenced on February 4, 2012. On February 7, 2012, the production team filmed a traditional wedding scene featuring the child versions of the characters Crown Prince Lee Kak and Hwa-Yong at Gyeonghui Palace in Seoul.
