Rockin' on Heaven's Door (2013 Film)

Rockin' on Heaven's Door (Korean: 뜨거운 안녕; RR: Ddeugeowoon Annyeong) is a 2013 South Korean drama film directed by Nam Taek-Soo. The film explores themes of redemption and human connection within the setting of a hospice facility for the terminally ill.

Plot

The story follows Choong-Ui, a troubled celebrity who finds himself in legal trouble. As a consequence, he is mandated to perform community service at a hospice facility that is facing the threat of closure. During his time at the facility, Choong-Ui interacts with the patients, eventually confronting his own personal struggles while assisting the residents in pursuing their remaining dreams.

Production

The film was produced by Hong Film and Soo Film, with Nam Taek-Soo and Ha Won-Joon serving as writers. Principal photography for the project commenced on September 24, 2012. The film was released in South Korea on May 30, 2013, with a total runtime of 99 minutes.

Lee Hong-Ki portrays the lead character, Choong-Ui.
