Revenant (2023 South Korean Television Series)

Revenant (Korean: 악귀; RR: Akkwi) is a South Korean supernatural thriller television series that aired on SBS from June 23 to July 29, 2023. The series consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast in the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Gu San-yeong (Kim Tae-ri), a young woman struggling with part-time work and her studies, who becomes possessed by a demon after receiving mysterious artifacts left behind by her late father. As unexplained deaths begin to occur in her vicinity, she encounters Yeom Hae-sang (Oh Jung-se), a wealthy folklore professor who possesses the ability to see supernatural entities. Together, they investigate the truth behind the deaths and the connection to five sacred objects. The investigation also draws in Lee Hong-sae (Hong Kyung), a lieutenant in the violent crimes investigation team.
