Reborn Rookie (Korean: 신입사원 강회장; RR: Shinibsawon Kanghoejang; literal title: Rookie Employee Chairman Kang) is a South Korean television series directed by Ko Hye-Jin and co-written by San Kyeong and Hyun Ji-Min. The series is based on the web novel of the same name written by San Kyeong, which was published on Naver between June 29, 2021, and October 12, 2021. Created by Kim Sun-Ok, the 12-episode drama aired on the cable network JTBC from May 30 to July 5, 2026, occupying the Saturday and Sunday 22:40 time slot.
Premise
Kang Yong-Ho, played by Son Hyun-Joo, is the founder and chairman of the Choiseong Group, a major South Korean conglomerate. Widely recognized in the business world, he suffers an unexpected accident following a collision with Hwang Jun-Hyeon, a young soccer player who recently joined the League 1 team FC Choiseong and is portrayed by Lee Jun-Young. Through the accident, the soul of Chairman Kang Yong-Ho transfers into the younger body of Hwang Jun-Hyeon. Utilizing his experienced business acumen within a rookie soccer player's body, he applies to the Choiseong Group as an entry-level employee, initiating an unusual corporate journey.
