Reborn Rich (South Korean Television Series)

Reborn Rich (Korean: 재벌집 막내아들; RR: Chaeboljib Maknaeadeul) is a South Korean television series that aired on JTBC from November 18 to December 25, 2022. The drama, directed by Jung Dae-yoon and written by Kim Tae-hee, is based on the web novel of the same name by San Kyeong, which was serialized on Kakao from 2017 to 2018.

Plot

The story follows Yoon Hyeon-woo, portrayed by Song Joong-ki, a loyal employee who has served the Soonyang Conglomerate for over a decade. Despite his dedication, he is falsely accused of embezzlement and killed while on an overseas business trip. He subsequently awakens in the body of Jin Do-jun, the youngest grandson of the conglomerate's founder. Leveraging his knowledge of the future, he seeks to dismantle the family's control and take over the company.

Production and Broadcast

The series was broadcast on JTBC in the Friday-Sunday 22:30 time slot. It succeeded the drama The Empire and was followed by Agency in January 2023. During its run, the broadcast schedule for the seventh episode was adjusted; it was moved from Friday, December 2, 2022, to Saturday, December 3, 2022, with a rerun of the sixth episode airing in its original slot.

Cast

The series features an ensemble cast, with Song Joong-ki in the dual roles of Yoon Hyeon-woo and Jin Do-jun. Lee Sung-min portrays the patriarch Jin Yang-cheol, and Shin Hyun-bin plays the character Seo Min-yeong.
