Real (2017 South Korean Film)

Real (Korean: 리얼; RR: Rieol) is a 2017 South Korean action-noir film directed by Lee Sa-Rang. The film stars Kim Soo-Hyun in the lead role of Jang Tae-Young, a cold and ambitious troubleshooter in the criminal underworld who aspires to build a casino hotel.

Production

The production of Real commenced on January 3, 2016. Principal photography concluded on June 30, 2016, in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, South Korea. The casting process for the second lead female role was extensive, with actress Han Ji-Eun selected after auditioning against 4,200 other candidates.
