Queen's Flower

Queen's Flower (Korean: 여왕의 꽃; RR: Yeowangui Kkot) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from March 14 to August 30, 2015. The series consists of 50 episodes and was broadcast during the network's Saturday and Sunday 21:45 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Rena Jung (Kim Sung-Ryoung), an ambitious star chef who hosts her own cooking program. Despite her public success, she harbors a secret from her past: she abandoned her daughter, Kang Yi-Sol (Lee Sung-Kyung), shortly after birth to pursue her career. The narrative centers on the eventual reunion of the mother and daughter, alongside the complex relationships involving Park Min-Joon (Lee Jong-Hyuk) and his stepbrother, Park Jae-Joon (Yoon Park).

Production

The series was directed by Lee Dae-Young and Kim Min-Sik, with a screenplay written by Park Hyeon-Ju. During its development, the drama was initially titled Jeokdoui Kkot (Equator's Flower). It succeeded the series The Legendary Witch in its time slot and was followed by My Daughter, Geum Sa-Wol.
