Queen of the Night (2013 Film)

Queen of the Night (Korean: 밤의 여왕; RR: Bamui Yeowang) is a 2013 South Korean romantic comedy film directed and written by Kim Je-young. The film explores the relationship between a timid husband and his wife after he discovers secrets regarding her past.

Plot

The story follows Young-soo, a timid man who marries Hee-joo, a woman he perceives as a perfectionist. After their marriage, Young-soo discovers unexpected details about Hee-joo's past life, leading him to investigate her history, which creates tension in their relationship.

Production

The film was directed by Kim Je-young. The production process began with the first script reading on November 28, 2012, in Seoul. Principal photography commenced on December 17, 2012, and concluded on March 11, 2013. The final scene filmed was set in a club in the Gangnam district of Seoul, intended to depict Hee-joo's past.
