Queen In-Hyun's Man

Queen In-Hyun's Man (Korean: 인현왕후의 남자; RR: Inhyeonwanghooui Namja) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2012. The series blends historical elements of the Joseon Dynasty with a contemporary romantic fantasy narrative.

Plot

The story follows Kim Boong-Do, a scholar and noble from the Joseon Dynasty who travels 300 years forward in time to present-day Seoul. In the modern era, he encounters Choi Hee-Jin, an aspiring actress who is currently portraying Queen In-Hyun in a fictional television drama titled New Jang Hee-Bin. The narrative explores their developing relationship as they navigate the complexities of time and their respective eras.

Production and Release

The series was directed by Kim Byung-Soo with a screenplay written by Song Jae-Jung and Kim Yoon-Joo. It premiered on April 18, 2012, and concluded on June 7, 2012, consisting of 16 episodes. The show aired on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 23:00. It occupied the time slot previously held by Twelve Men in a Year and was succeeded by In Need of Romance 2012.
