Queen for Seven Days
Queen for Seven Days (Korean: 7일의 왕비; RR: 7ilui Wangbi) is a South Korean historical television drama that aired on KBS2 from May 31 to August 3, 2017. The series, directed by Lee Jung-Sub and written by Choi Jin-Young, consists of 20 episodes and explores the tragic romance between Queen Dangyeong and King Joongjong.

Background and Production
The drama is based on the historical account of Lady Shin, who married Prince Jinsung in 1499. Following the ascension of her husband to the throne in 1506, she was crowned Queen, only to be deposed and expelled from the palace seven days later. The production marked the third collaboration between actress Park Min-Young and director Lee Jung-Sub, who had previously worked together on Glory Jane and Healer. The first script reading for the series was held on April 7, 2017, at the KBS Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.

Cast
The main cast features Park Min-Young as Shin Chae-Kyung, Yeon Woo-Jin as Lee Yeok (King Joongjong), and Lee Dong-Gun as Lee Yoong (King Yeonsangun). The younger versions of the characters are portrayed by Park Si-Eun, Baek Seung-Hwan, Choi Min-Young, Jung Yoo-An, and Joe Byeong-Gyu.


Broadcast History
The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot on KBS2. It succeeded the drama Queen of Mystery and was followed by the series Manhole on August 9, 2017.
