Puck! (South Korean Television Movie)

Puck! (Korean: 퍽!) is a two-episode South Korean television movie that aired on SBS on January 1, 2016. The drama, directed by Lee Gwang-young and written by Yoon Hyun-ho, centers on the life of a man forced into a difficult profession who finds an unexpected path through sports.

Plot

The story follows Jo Joon-man, portrayed by Lee Kwang-soo. Burdened by the debt left behind by his ex-wife, Joon-man is coerced into working as a loan shark for a gang boss. Despite his occupation, he is characterized as having a warm personality. In an attempt to collect a debt from an ice hockey coach, Joon-man joins the coach's ice hockey team, leading to a series of events that change his perspective.

Production

The production process for Puck! included a script reading session held on October 16, 2015, at the SBS Production Center in Ilsan, South Korea. Principal photography for the project commenced on October 28, 2015.
