PTA Grandpa
PTA Grandpa (Japanese: PTAグランパ!) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NHK from April 2 to May 21, 2017. The series consists of eight episodes and was broadcast on Sundays at 22:00. It is based on the novel PTA Guranpa! by Hinako Nakazawa, which was published by Kadokawa in June 2016.

Plot Synopsis
The story centers on Tsutomu Muso, a 65-year-old retiree played by Ken Matsudaira. While his wife, Sachiko (Miyoko Asada), remains active with her own social life, Tsutomu struggles to find purpose in his retirement. His life changes when his daughter, Miyako (Sei Matobu), moves back home with her daughter, Yurina, following a divorce. As Miyako balances her work responsibilities, Tsutomu takes on the role of primary caregiver for his granddaughter, who is in the first grade of elementary school. This transition leads him to become the Vice-President of the school's Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

Production
The drama was directed by Satoshi Isaka and Shinya Ayabe, with a screenplay written by Satoko Okazaki. A sequel, PTA Grandpa 2, was produced and aired by NHK in 2018.
