Pray (Korean: 기도하는 남자; RR: Gidohaneun Namja) is a South Korean drama film released in 2020. The film was written and directed by Kang Dong-Hun.
Plot
The story follows Tae-Wook, a pastor struggling to maintain his small church amidst severe financial hardship. His situation becomes increasingly complex when his wife, Jeong-In, informs him that her mother requires a medical operation. The narrative centers on the difficult moral and practical choices the couple must navigate under these pressures.
Production
The film was produced in South Korea. Principal photography for the project commenced on June 13, 2018, and concluded on July 21, 2018. The film held its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival on October 5, 2018, before its general theatrical release in South Korea on February 20, 2020.
