Possessed (South Korean TV Series)

Possessed (Korean: 빙의; RR: Bingui) is a South Korean television series that aired on the OCN network in 2019. The show blends elements of the supernatural, thriller, and comedy genres. It premiered on March 6, 2019, and concluded its 16-episode run on April 25, 2019.

The series follows the story of Kang Pil-Sung, a detective with sharp investigative instincts who is known for his rough demeanor and foul language, despite having a soft heart. His path crosses with Hong Seo-Jung, a woman who possesses powerful psychic mediumship abilities. Attempting to lead a normal life, she keeps her powers hidden, which leads to a solitary existence. As the narrative progresses, the two begin to collaborate, utilizing their respective skills to solve criminal cases.

Production and Broadcast

Directed by Choi Do-Hoon and written by Park Hee-Kang, Possessed occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 23:00 time slot on OCN. It followed the conclusion of Quiz from God: Reboot and was succeeded by Save Me 2 in May 2019.
