Police University

Police University (Korean: 경찰수업; RR: Gyeongchalsooeob) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from August 9 to October 5, 2021. Directed by Yoo Gwan-mo and written by Min Jung, the series explores the experiences of students and faculty at a national police academy.

Plot

The story centers on Yoo Dong-man (played by Cha Tae-hyun), a veteran detective with two decades of experience in various departments, including violent crimes and cyber crime. Known for his impulsive nature, he transitions into a role as a professor at the police university. His path crosses with two rookie students: Kang Sun-ho (Jin Young), a former hacker with high intelligence, and Oh Kang-hee (Krystal), who is characterized by her righteousness and honesty.

Production and Broadcast

The series consisted of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Monday and Tuesday nights at 21:30. It occupied the KBS2 time slot previously held by At a Distance, Spring is Green and was followed by The King's Affection, which premiered on October 11, 2021. Due to the Chuseok holiday, the series did not air on September 20 and 21, 2021, with the 13th episode airing on September 27, 2021.
