Ping Pong Ball (TV Series)

Ping Pong Ball (Korean: 탁구공; RR: Takkookong) is a two-episode South Korean television drama special that aired on JTBC in September 2018. It was produced as part of the JTBC Drama Festa series.

Background and Production

The series is based on the webcomic Takkookong by Jo Geum-San, which was first published in 2010. The television adaptation was directed by Kim Sang-Ho with a screenplay by Park Ji-Won. The first script reading for the production took place on August 8, 2018, at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul.

Plot

The story follows Kim Young-Joon (played by Ji Soo), a university philosophy student struggling with the emotional aftermath of a romantic rejection. His life intersects with a mysterious homeless man named Kim Deuk-Hwan (played by Yoo Jae-Myung), who resides under a bridge near Young-Joon's apartment. The two men, both having faced failure in love, form an unexpected bond.
