Plot Summary

The story follows Han Eok-Kwan, a former gang member who attempts to leave his violent past behind. After a series of personal struggles, Eok-Kwan meets Shin Hye-Rim, a widow who moves to Pusan with her two children, Lee Su-Ah and Lee Kyung-Ho, to start a new life. Hye-Rim opens a piano teaching institute, which serves as a central setting for the family's development. Despite the initial resistance from Hye-Rim's children toward their new stepfather and stepbrother, Han Jae-Soo, the family attempts to forge a life together. The narrative spans several years, detailing the evolving relationships between the characters, the impact of a tragic accident, and the long-term consequences of past choices.
