Perfect Wife (South Korean TV Series)

Perfect Wife (Korean: 완벽한 아내; RR: Wanbyukhan Anae) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from February 27 to May 2, 2017. The series consists of 20 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Sim Jae-bok, a married woman and mother of two. Having endured numerous hardships, she possesses a volatile temper. As the narrative progresses, she becomes involved in an unexpected case that forces her to confront her circumstances and begin a journey toward reclaiming her true self.

Production

The series was directed by Hong Seok-ku and written by Yoon Kyung-ah. The first script reading was held on January 10, 2017, at the KBS Annex Building in Yeouido, Seoul. Actor Lee Sang-yeob was initially offered a lead male role but did not join the production. The drama occupied the time slot previously held by Hwarang and was succeeded by Individualist Ms. Ji-Young.

Awards
