Partners for Justice
Partners for Justice, also known by its literal title Investigation Couple (Korean: 검법남녀; RR: Gumbeobnamnyeo), is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC from May 14 to July 17, 2018. The series follows the professional partnership between a cynical, highly skilled forensic doctor and an idealistic rookie prosecutor as they work together to solve criminal cases.

Premise
The series centers on Baek Beom, a forensic pathologist with ten years of experience. Despite his abrasive personality and difficulty connecting with others, he is widely respected for his meticulous work. He is joined by Eun Sol, a rookie prosecutor from a wealthy background who possesses a warm, bright personality. Their differing approaches to justice and life form the core of their investigative partnership.
Production
The series was directed by No Do-Cheol, with a screenplay written by Min Ji-Eun and Won Young-Sil. The first script reading for the cast took place in late March 2018 at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, South Korea. The show occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot on MBC.
Broadcast Adjustments
The broadcast schedule experienced several interruptions due to major news and sporting events:
- Episodes 19-20 were delayed from their original June 12, 2018, air date due to coverage of the summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in Singapore. Further delays occurred the following week due to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, with the episodes finally airing on June 25, 2018.
- Episodes 21-22 were preempted on June 26 and July 2, 2018, due to FIFA World Cup coverage. These episodes, along with episodes 23-24, were broadcast consecutively on July 3, 2018.
