Park Jin-young (South Korean Actor and Singer)

Park Jin-young (Korean: 박진영; born September 22, 1994), often known mononymously as Jinyoung, is a South Korean singer and actor. He gained widespread recognition as a member of the South Korean boy band GOT7.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Park Jin-young was born in Changwon, South Korea, on September 22, 1994. He attended Kyunggi High School. He entered the entertainment industry as a recording artist and became a member of the boy band GOT7.

Acting Career

In addition to his music career, Park has pursued a prolific career in television dramas and film. His notable television appearances include roles in Dream High Season 2 (2012), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016–2017), He is Psychometric (2019), The Devil Judge (2021), and Yumi's Cells (2021–2022). His film credits include A Stray Goat (2017), Yaksha: Ruthless Operations (2022), and Christmas Carol (2022).

Awards and Recognition

Park received critical acclaim for his dual roles in the 2022 thriller film Christmas Carol, winning the Best New Actor award at the 59th BaekSang Arts Awards in April 2023. At the same ceremony, he also received the Most Popular Actor award. In November 2025, he received the Popularity Award at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
