Park Ji-hwan

Park Ji-hwan (born September 5, 1980) is a South Korean actor known for his prolific work across film and television. Active since the mid-2000s, he has built a reputation for portraying distinct supporting and character roles in major commercial cinema and streaming drama series.

Career

Park made his early screen appearances in independent and action films during the late 2000s, including The City of Violence (2006). Over the next decade, he steadily expanded his portfolio, appearing in notable films such as The Yellow Sea, The Tiger (2015), and A Violent Prosecutor (2016).

His breakthrough recognition came with his performance as the character Chang Yi-soo in the action-thriller film The Outlaws (2017). He reprised this popular role in subsequent sequels including The Roundup (2022), The Roundup: No Way Out (2023), and The Roundup: Punishment (2024). His portrayal earned him widespread public recognition, including a People's Award at the 58th Daejong Film Awards in 2022.

Alongside his film career, Park has maintained an active presence in television series, appearing in acclaimed dramas such as Our Blues (2022), Gyeongseong Creature (2023–2024), Queen Woo (2024), and Seoul Busters (2024).
