Park Ji-hoon (South Korean Entertainer)

Park Ji-hoon (born May 29, 1999) is a South Korean singer and actor. He first gained widespread public attention as a contestant on the reality survival program Produce 101 Season 2 and subsequently debuted as a member of the temporary project boy band Wanna One.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Born on May 29, 1999, in South Korea, Park began working in the entertainment industry as a child actor, appearing in various television historical and drama series throughout the mid-to-late 2000s, including The King and I (2007) and Il Ji-Mae: The Phantom Thief (2008).

Music Career and Wanna One

In 2017, Park represented Maroo Entertainment on the second season of Mnet's reality survival show Produce 101. He finished in second place, securing a spot in the boy band Wanna One. He promoted with the group until their official disbandment in early 2019, after which he launched his solo music and acting career.

Acting Career

Following his activities with Wanna One, Park transitioned back into full-time television and film acting. He starred in the JTBC historical drama Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency (2019), the web series Love Revolution (2020), and the KBS2 campus drama At a Distance, Spring is Green (2021).

In 2022, Park earned critical acclaim for his leading role as Yeon Si-eun in the Wavve streaming series Weak Hero Class 1. He continued expanding his television credits with leading roles in Love Song for Illusion (2024), Weak Hero Class 2 (2025), and Tastefully Yours (2025). In film, he appeared in Audrey (2024) and portrayed King Danjong in The King's Warden (2026).

Awards and Recognition

Park has received multiple accolades for his television and film performances. Notable awards include Best New Actor at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards in 2023 for Weak Hero Class 1, and an Excellence Award for an Actor in a Miniseries at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards for Love Song for Illusion.
