Park has appeared in numerous high-profile South Korean television dramas and global streaming projects. He gained critical acclaim for his starring role as Kim Je-Hyeok in the tvN series Prison Playbook (2017–2018). International audiences came to know him globally through his portrayal of Cho Sang-Woo in Netflix's breakout phenomenon Squid Game (2021), a role that significantly elevated his worldwide profile.

Following Squid Game, Park took on leading roles in several major Netflix adaptations and original series, including playing Berlin in Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area (2022) and Choi Chang-Ho in Narco-Saints (2022).
