Park Gyu-Tae

Park Gyu-Tae is a South Korean filmmaker recognized for his contributions to the film industry as both a director and a screenwriter. His career spans several decades, beginning in the late 1990s.

Career

Park Gyu-Tae began his professional career in the film industry as a screenwriter. His early credits include Baby Sale (1997) and A Great Chinese Restaurant (1999). He gained further recognition for writing the screenplay for the popular comedy Hi! Dharma! in 2001.

In 2007, Park expanded his role to directing with the film Bunt, for which he also served as the screenwriter. He continued his work in both capacities, writing the screenplay for Man On The Edge (2013). In 2022, he directed and wrote the comedy film 6/45, which centers on a lottery ticket that crosses the border between North and South Korea. His subsequent project, Husbands in Action, was scheduled for release in 2026.
