Parasyte: Part 2, known in Japan as Kiseiju Kanketsu Hen, is a 2015 Japanese science fiction film directed by Takashi Yamazaki. It serves as the concluding chapter of the two-part live-action adaptation of the manga series Kiseiju, written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki. The film was released in Japan on April 25, 2015, and distributed by Toho.

Production and Background

The film is based on the manga Kiseiju, which was serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon magazine from 1988 to 1995. The screenplay was written by Ryota Kosawa and Takashi Yamazaki. The production followed the release of the first installment, Parasyte: Part 1, which premiered in 2014. The film features a runtime of 118 minutes.

Festivals and Reception

Parasyte: Part 2 received its international premiere at the 17th Udine Far East Film Festival, held from April 23 to May 2, 2015. It was also screened at the 15th Nippon Connection festival in June 2015 as part of the Nippon Cinema program.
