Paper Flower (2020 Film)

Paper Flower (Korean: 종이꽃; RR: Jongiggot) is a 2020 South Korean drama film written and directed by Koh Hoon. The film premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2019 before its general theatrical release in South Korea on October 22, 2020.

Plot

The story follows Yoon Sung-Kil (Ahn Sung-Ki), an elderly funeral director struggling with financial hardship. He lives with his son, Ji-Hyuk (Kim Hye-Seong), who has become wheelchair-bound and disillusioned with life following a traumatic accident. To make ends meet, Sung-Kil is forced to accept employment at a large-scale funeral service company. The lives of the father and son change when a bright, warm-hearted woman named Go Eun-Sook (Eugene) and her young daughter, No-Eul (Jang Jae-Hee), move into the apartment next door. Their presence gradually helps Sung-Kil and Ji-Hyuk rediscover hope.
