Pansori Boxer
Pansori Boxer (Korean: 판소리 복서) is a 2019 South Korean sports drama film directed by Jung Hyuk-Ki. The film explores the life of a former professional boxer attempting to return to the ring while managing the physical consequences of his past career.

Plot
Byeong-Goo, played by Um Tae-Goo, was once a promising professional boxer whose career was derailed by a past mistake. He currently works odd jobs at a gym managed by Mr. Park, portrayed by Kim Hee-Won. Despite being diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)—often referred to as punch-drunk syndrome—Byeong-Goo remains determined to return to competitive boxing. His life changes when a new member, Min-Ji (Hyeri), joins the gym. Recognizing his dedication, she provides the support he needs to develop a unique fighting style he calls "Pansori Boxing," leading him to pursue a challenging comeback.
Production
The film was directed by Jung Hyuk-Ki, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jo Hyun-Cheol. Principal photography for the project commenced on April 24, 2018, and concluded on June 7, 2018. The film was distributed by CGV Arthouse and released in South Korea on October 9, 2019.
