Pale Moon (Korean: 종이달; RR: Jongidal) is a South Korean television series that aired in 2023. The drama was broadcast on the ENA network and Genie TV, spanning 10 episodes from April 10 to May 9, 2023. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The series follows the life of Yoo Yi-hwa, played by Kim Seo-hyung. Living with a husband who remains indifferent to her, Yi-hwa experiences a mundane and unfulfilling existence as a housewife. Her life changes when she secures a position as a contract worker at a bank. While this employment initially helps her regain a sense of confidence, the narrative takes a dark turn as she begins to embezzle money from her clients.

Production

Pale Moon is based on the novel Kami no Tsuki by Japanese author Mitsuyo Kakuta, which was published on March 15, 2012, by Kadokawa Haruki Corporation. The series was directed by Yoo Jong-sun and Jung Won-hee, with the screenplay written by No Yoon-soo.
