Pagwa (2025 Film)

Pagwa (Korean: 파과) is a South Korean thriller film directed by Min Kyu-Dong. The film is an adaptation of the 2018 novel of the same name by author Ku Byung-Mo. It held its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 16, 2025, and was released in South Korea on April 30, 2025.

Plot

The narrative centers on Hornclaw, a professional assassin in her 60s who has spent four decades working in the industry. Known as a living legend, she finds herself increasingly marginalized by the organization that employs her. Her life intersects with Too-Woo, a younger, ambitious assassin who has long tracked her. After sustaining an injury, Hornclaw is treated by a veterinarian known as Vet Kang, leading to an unexpected emotional connection with him and his daughter. This development triggers a confrontation with Too-Woo.
