Our Gab-Soon
Our Gab-Soon (Korean: 우리 갑순이; RR: Woori Gabsooni) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from August 27, 2016, to April 8, 2017. The series, directed by Boo Sung-Chul and written by Moon Young-Nam, consists of 61 episodes and explores various facets of marriage and life within contemporary South Korean society.
Production
The production process for Our Gab-Soon involved notable casting changes. The first script reading was held on July 2, 2016, at the SBS Ilsan Production Studios in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. Initially, actress Lee Ha-Na was cast in the lead role of Shin Gab-Soon and participated in this reading; however, she withdrew from the project shortly thereafter.
The series marked a significant milestone for actor Song Jae-Rim, as it was his first lead role in a network television drama. He starred alongside Kim So-Eun, with whom he had previously appeared in the 2014–2015 reality show We Got Married.
Broadcast History
The drama occupied the Saturday and Sunday 21:00 time slot on SBS. It followed the conclusion of the series Yeah, That's How It Is and was succeeded by Band of Sisters on April 15, 2017.
