Openly Dreaming of Cinderella (Korean: 나는 대놓고 신데렐라를 꿈꾼다) is a South Korean romantic comedy television series that aired in 2024. The drama, directed by Kim Min-Kyung and written by Yoo Ja, consists of 10 episodes and was released on the streaming platform TVING from May 31 to June 28, 2024.
Plot
The series follows the story of Shin Jae-Rim (played by Pyo Ye-Jin), a woman who takes a job as a manager at a social club in hopes of finding a wealthy partner and escaping her difficult financial circumstances. Her path crosses with Moon Cha-Min (played by Lee Jun-Young), the arrogant CEO of the social club and the son of a wealthy chaebol family. Moon Cha-Min is openly dismissive of individuals who seek "Cinderella-style" fairy tale romances. As the two interact, Shin Jae-Rim undergoes a personal transformation, moving away from her desire to rely on others and toward a life of independence and self-acceptance.
