One Day (Korean: 어느날; RR: Eoneunal) is a 2017 South Korean drama film directed by Lee Yoon-ki. The film explores themes of loss, grief, and the unexpected connections that can form between individuals navigating personal trauma.

Plot

The story follows Gang-soo, an insurance investigator struggling with the recent death of his wife. While processing a case involving a woman named Mi-so who has fallen into a vegetative state following a car accident, he visits her in the hospital. During his investigation, he encounters a woman who claims to be Mi-so. He soon realizes that he is the only person capable of seeing or hearing her, as she exists in a spiritual state separate from her comatose body. As they interact, Mi-so asks Gang-soo for help in fulfilling a final wish.

Production

The film was directed by Lee Yoon-ki, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kim Young-hee. Principal photography for the project commenced on April 12, 2016, and concluded on July 8, 2016. During its development phase, the film was known by the working title My Angel.
