Olympic Ransom
Olympic Ransom (Japanese: Orinpikku no Minoshirokin) is a two-part Japanese television drama that aired on TV Asahi on November 30 and December 1, 2013. The production is based on the novel of the same name by Hideo Okuda, which was serialized in Shosetsu Yasei Jidai between 2006 and 2008.

Plot
Set in the summer of 1964, the story follows a series of arson incidents in Tokyo as the city prepares to host the Summer Olympics. The first fire occurs at the residence of Shuuichiro Suga, a key figure in the security planning for the upcoming games, followed by a second incident at a police academy. Due to the sensitivity of the events, the authorities impose a strict gag order.
Detective Masao Ochiai, a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Investigation Section 1, begins a secret inquiry after learning of the fires. The investigation reveals that the superintendent general had received threatening letters prior to both incidents. As the police work to uncover the perpetrator, they identify a potential link to stolen dynamite from the Kitano Gunpowder company. Detective Ochiai eventually focuses his suspicion on Kunio Shimazaki, a struggling student at the University of Tokyo, only to discover a personal complication: his younger sister, Yumi, is romantically involved with the suspect.
