Plot Summary

The story follows Kiyoka Odoriba (played by Alice Hirose), a music teacher diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. Choosing to forgo treatment, she returns to her hometown located on an island in the Seto Inland Sea. There, she assists at her grandmother's cafe and takes on a role instructing a choir at her alma mater high school. Among her students is Okiharu, a young man who maintains a constant smile following a tsunami incident that claimed his family. As the narrative progresses, an event triggers the return of Okiharu's lost emotional range, establishing the central dynamic between him and Kiyoka.
