OK! Madam (2020 Film)

OK! Madam (Korean: 오케이 마담) is a 2020 South Korean action-comedy film directed by Lee Chul-ha. The film follows a couple who find themselves in the middle of a hijacking during their first international trip together.

Plot

Mi-young (played by Uhm Jung-hwa) operates a small shop at a traditional market, specializing in twisted bread sticks. Her husband, Seok-hwan (played by Park Sung-woong), works as a computer repairman. The couple wins a free trip to Hawaii, marking their first international vacation. However, their flight is hijacked by a group of terrorists led by Cheol-seung (played by Lee Sang-yoon), who are searching for a secret agent on board. As the passengers are taken hostage, Mi-young and Seok-hwan take action to neutralize the threat and rescue those on the plane.

Production

The film was directed by Lee Chul-ha and written by Shin Hyun-sung. Principal photography for the project began on February 8, 2019. It was distributed by Megabox Plus M and released in South Korea on August 12, 2020.
