Oh My Venus
Oh My Venus (Korean: 오 마이 비너스) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from November 16, 2015, to January 5, 2016. The romantic comedy drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Hyung-suk and Lee Na-jeong, with a screenplay written by Kim Eun-ji. During development, the production team initially used the working title Oh My God. The first script reading for the cast took place on October 10, 2015, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.
Oh My Venus marked the return of actor So Ji-sub to a starring role in a drama series for the first time since the 2013 SBS series The Master's Sun. It also served as the first drama series performance for actress Shin Min-a since her appearance in the 2012 MBC series Arang and the Magistrate.
Plot
The story follows Kim Young-ho (So Ji-sub), a personal trainer for Hollywood stars who hails from a wealthy family but carries the trauma of a childhood injury. He approaches his life and work with a sense of discipline and persistence. He crosses paths with Kang Joo-eun (Shin Min-a), a 33-year-old lawyer who has spent her life working hard to support her family, only to find herself struggling with her physical health and appearance.
