Ode to My Father (Korean: 국제시장; RR: Gukjeshijang) is a 2014 South Korean drama film directed by Yoon Je-kyun. The film follows the life of a man named Deok-soo, played by Hwang Jung-min, as he navigates the tumultuous history of South Korea from the aftermath of the Korean War to the present day. The film's literal title, Gukje Market, refers to the historic international market located in Busan, which serves as a central setting for the narrative.

Production
The production of Ode to My Father involved international filming locations. Principal photography commenced on August 14, 2013, in the Czech Republic. Production moved to South Korea on August 27, 2013, where a traditional gosa ceremony was held to ensure good fortune, with actual filming beginning in September 2013. The production concluded on December 25, 2013, in Thailand. The total production cost was approximately 14 billion won, equivalent to roughly $13.1 million USD.

Reception and Commercial Performance
The film achieved significant commercial success in South Korea. On January 13, 2015, it surpassed 10 million ticket sales, becoming the 11th South Korean film to reach this milestone. With this achievement, director Yoon Je-kyun became the first director in South Korea to have two films surpass 10 million ticket sales, following his previous success with Haeundae.
