Plot

The story follows Hong Jong-du (Sul Kyung-gu), a man recently released from prison after serving a sentence for a fatal hit-and-run accident. Upon returning to his family, he finds himself alienated and struggling to reintegrate into society. Jong-du is portrayed as a social misfit, often unable to navigate conventional social expectations.

Seeking redemption, Jong-du visits the family of the man he killed in the accident. There, he encounters Han Gong-ju (Moon So-ri), the victim's daughter who has cerebral palsy. Abandoned by her family to live alone in a small apartment, Gong-ju is neglected by those tasked with her care.
